Getting students ready for life after school
Hi, I'm Jeremy Gooch. I teach special education in Kansas, and for the last 15 years I've also trained school staff in crisis prevention and de-escalation. The Transition Cliff is where I share the things I make for my own classroom: transition planning, job skills, life skills, and tools for keeping a room calm when things get hard.
The name comes from what a lot of families feel when school ends. Services drop off and it can feel like the edge of a cliff. I want my students, and yours, to walk off that last day with a plan and real skills.
